Lyfta's website uses cookies and similar technologies. The mobile app uses analytics to understand how people use features. This page explains what's collected and how to manage your preferences.

## Types of cookies on the website

**Essential cookies:** Required for basic website functionality, security, and remembering your preferences. These cannot be disabled.

**Analytics cookies:** Help us understand how visitors use the website. Lyfta uses Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics. Vercel Analytics runs automatically for performance monitoring.

**Marketing cookies:** Used to show relevant content and measure advertising effectiveness. These are optional.

## How to manage website cookies

When you visit lyfta.app, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, accept only essential cookies, or customize your preferences. You can change your choices at any time from the Cookie Preferences link on the website.

You can also block cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect website functionality.

## Analytics in the mobile app

The Lyfta app uses Amplitude Analytics to understand which features are used and how the app performs. This helps us improve the product.

Analytics data includes:

- Which screens you visit and buttons you tap
- App performance and crash reports
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- General location (derived from IP address)

Analytics data is not sold to third parties or used for advertising outside Lyfta.

## Limiting app analytics

The mobile app follows your device's privacy settings:

- **iPhone:** Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Disabling tracking limits cross-app tracking.
- **Android:** Settings → Privacy → Ads. You can opt out of ad personalization.

## Third-party services

When you connect Lyfta to other services (Strava, Apple Health, Health Connect), those services have their own privacy policies. Lyfta only shares the data you authorize.
