Lyfta stores the workout and health information you log so you can track progress, review history, and sync across devices. This page explains what that data includes and how it's protected.

## What training data Lyfta stores

**Workout history:** Every workout you complete, including the date, duration, exercises, sets, reps, weight, and notes.

**Body measurements:** Weight, body fat percentage, and other measurements you log in the app.

**Progress photos:** Photos you take or upload in the app to track visual progress.

**Custom content:** Exercises and routines you create.

**Performance metrics:** Personal records, volume trends, and calculated statistics derived from your workouts.

## Health integrations

If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, Lyfta may read or write additional data based on the permissions you grant:

**Apple Health (iOS):** Lyfta can write completed workouts and active energy to Apple Health. If allowed, it may read data like weight, height, or heart rate.

**Health Connect (Android):** Lyfta can write completed workouts. If allowed, it may read weight, body fat, and other measurements you share.

You control what's shared through the permissions in Apple Health or Health Connect settings. See [Connected apps and permissions](/article/connected-apps-and-permissions) for details.

## How your data is protected

Lyfta uses industry-standard security measures:

- **Encryption:** Data is encrypted in transit (over the network) and at rest (on servers).
- **Access controls:** Only authorized personnel can access personal data, and only when necessary for support or maintenance.
- **Regular audits:** Security practices are reviewed regularly.

No system is 100% secure. Lyfta follows best practices to protect your information, but you should also protect your account with a strong password.

## Data retention

Your training data is kept as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from Lyfta's servers. See [How to delete your account](/article/delete-your-account).

Some anonymized or aggregated data (which cannot identify you) may be retained for analytics.
