Children's use and age requirements

Age requirements for using Lyfta and how children's privacy is protected.

Lyfta is a workout tracking app designed for teens and adults. This page explains the age requirements and how we handle children's privacy.

Minimum age

Lyfta does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old. If you're under 13, you should not create a Lyfta account or use the app.

The App Store rates Lyfta as suitable for ages 9+, which reflects the app content (fitness tracking with no mature themes). However, creating an account and providing personal data requires you to be at least 13.

Teens (13–17)

Teenagers 13 and older can use Lyfta. If you're under 18, we recommend:

If a child under 13 has an account

If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to Lyfta, contact us at support@lyfta.app. We'll take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Parental controls

The Lyfta app doesn't have built-in parental controls. Parents can use device-level controls (Screen Time on iOS, Digital Wellbeing on Android) to manage app access.

Privacy protections

Lyfta follows privacy laws including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR provisions for children's data. We don't target advertising to children or knowingly collect their data.

For more on how Lyfta handles personal data, see Privacy and data at Lyfta and our Privacy Policy.
