Who can see your workouts
Control who can see your profile and workout activity with Lyfta's privacy settings.
Lyfta includes privacy controls so you can decide who sees your profile and workout activity.
Public vs private profile
You can choose whether your profile is public or private:
Public profile: Other Lyfta users can see your profile, follow you, and view your shared workout activity.
Private profile: Only you can see your workout history. Others cannot follow you or view your activity unless you allow them.
Check your current setting in the app under your profile or account settings.
What others can see on a public profile
When your profile is public, other users may see:
- Your display name and profile photo
- Workouts you share
- Activity in community features like challenges
Your detailed workout data (exact sets, reps, weights) visibility depends on your sharing preferences. You control what's shared.
What stays private
Regardless of your profile setting, the following are always private:
- Your email address
- Body measurements (weight, body fat)
- Progress photos (unless you share them)
- Account details and billing information
Change your privacy setting
Open the app and go to your profile or account settings to toggle between public and private. The change takes effect immediately.
Following and followers
If you have a public profile, other users can follow you. You can see who follows you in your profile. Switch to private if you prefer not to have followers.
