Lyfta on Wear OS

Start a workout on your Android phone and follow the same session on a Wear OS watch, including sets, the rest timer, and heart rate.

The Lyfta app on a Wear OS watch follows the workout you start on your Android phone. Use it to see the current exercise, mark a set done, and keep the rest timer on your wrist.

Install Lyfta on the Wear OS watch, then start the workout on your Android phone. The same session should show on the watch. Log the workout on the phone if the watch and the phone disagree — the phone is the copy that gets saved to history.

See heart rate

Lyfta asks you to connect the Wear OS watch when it needs heart rate for the session.

  1. Confirm the watch is paired with the Android phone and Lyfta is installed on the watch.
  2. Start the workout on the phone and leave both apps open for a moment.
  3. If Lyfta still says to connect the watch, restart the phone and the watch, then start the workout again.

Heart rate still missing? Email support@lyfta.app with the phone and watch models. Say whether the watch is paired in the Wear OS app and whether the message still says to connect the watch.

If the watch looks wrong

Finish the set on the Android phone when the watch does not match it. A wrong number on the watch can be saved back to the phone if you confirm the set there.

  • The exercise name is missing and only the rest timer shows.
  • Sets, reps, or weight are a huge number, such as millions, or 0 when the phone shows the real weight.
  • The watch app closes or returns to the watch face when the rest timer ends. Open Lyfta on the watch again to continue that session.
  • You cannot change weight or reps on the watch. Change them on the phone.

Reinstall Lyfta on the watch if the numbers stay wrong after a restart. Do not keep confirming sets on the watch until the exercise name and the set count match the phone.

Calories counted twice

Start the workout in Lyfta only. A separate strength session in another app on the watch stops or overlaps, and Health Connect can then count the same lifting twice: once from Lyfta on the phone and once from Lyfta on the watch.

Health Connect on the phone is the better check. If the workout is listed twice there, email support@lyfta.app with the date of the session. See Connect Lyfta to Health Connect.

Apple Watch or another watch

This page is the Wear OS app, including Galaxy Watch and Pixel Watch. An Apple Watch does not use that app. See Lyfta on Apple Watch if the phone is an iPhone.

A Garmin or other watch that is not Wear OS does not use this app either. See Lyfta on Garmin.
