Import workouts from another app

Move workout history from Hevy, Strong, JEFIT, or a CSV file into Lyfta.

Import Data copies logged workouts from another app into this Lyfta account. It does not copy a ready-to-start routine, and it does not connect a watch.

Export a CSV from the other app first. In Lyfta, open Settings and tap Import Data. That opens the import page in the browser, already signed in.

Import a file

  1. Export your workout history as CSV from the other app.
  2. In Lyfta, open Settings.
  3. Tap Import Data.
  4. Choose the app you exported from, such as Hevy, Strong, or JEFIT.
  5. Upload the CSV.

Check one recent workout in history before you trust the whole file. Weights, dates, and set counts should match the old app.

If your app is not listed

Choose the other-app option only when the page then lets you upload a file. Setgraph and some other apps are not supported. If there is no upload step, stop there and email support@lyfta.app with the app name.

A spreadsheet in your own layout will not import cleanly. Use the export from the old app.

If the imported workouts look wrong

Do not import the same file again.

  • Weights about half or double the old log usually mean kilograms and pounds were swapped. This also happens when a dumbbell weight was logged as one bell in the old app and read as the total in Lyfta.
  • Dates in 1970, or shifted by a month, mean the date format in the file was not read as expected.
  • JEFIT imports can leave session duration empty.
  • Supersets can arrive as separate sets.

Email support@lyfta.app and ask us to remove the bad import before you try again. Include the app you exported from, and one workout date that looks wrong.

Routines stay behind. Import Data brings history, not folders such as “Monday pull.” Rebuild those routines in Lyfta after the history looks right. If a workout is missing after a successful import, see How to log a workout.
